FLOOD PRONE AREAS The areas shown in pink on this map are the areas that have been identified by FEMA as areas with the potential for flooding during a 100 year storm event. The map is a compilation of the six(6) Flood Insurance Rate Maps, or FIRM's that cover the City of Deltona. The effective date of the FIRM panels is April 15, 2002. Per the Flood Insurance Rate Maps there has been no Base Flood Elevations (BFE) established by FEMA. The Base Flood Elevation is the height above mean sea level that the floodwaters could rise to. Per federal law, if your home is in one of these areas you are required to carry flood insurance.
